She is a True West Award recipient and recently spoke at the SXSW Education Conference about her internationally published essay that examines inequities in the arts for young people of color. Notable features include Colorado Public Radio, American Theatre Magazine, and Denver Westword. She is a multi-hyphenated social practice artist, educator, and activist, whose work has been nationally recognized. Ilasiea Gray is proud to be the Arvada Center’s first IDEA Coordinator.
